Ayres Veterinary Hospital has been established since 1973. We are always working towards the highest possible standards and to prove this we have achieved Hospital status with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) Practice Standards Scheme.
At our main site in North Shields we are staffed 24-hours a day, 365 days a year to offer the very best in first opinion, referral and emergency treatment.
We have three other branches, Whitley Bay, Cleadon and Cramlington, which are open Monday to Friday for appointments only.

Our main priorities include ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our patients, clients and staff, building professionally enhanced natural rapport and maintaining respect and empathy for all our clients.
We aim to encourage development within our team to ensure all members are highly skilled and knowledgeable in many areas of veterinary care.
We offer a vast range of veterinary care from vaccinations to pet passports. We take care of a large range of animals including cats, dogs, rabbits and guinea pigs. Contact one of our friendly and caring staff for more details.
All surgeries are run by appointment only for your convenience. Emergencies always take priority and will be seen as soon as possible.
